Green’s machine hit six against Newport

JORDAN GREEN struck twice as Yeovil smashed Newport 6-0 at Rodney Parade.

Goals by Yoann Arquin, Green and Diallang Jaiyesimi made it 3-0 by half-time.

Green added his second before Olufela Olomola and Carl Dickinson got in on the act.

Leaders Lincoln beat struggling Macclesfie­ld

2-1 with Jason Shackell striking the crucial goal with three minutes left.

Earlier, Tom Pett’s opener had been cancelled out by Jamie Grimes.

Exeter leapfrogge­d Newport into second thanks to a

Jon Stead’s penalty and goals from Enzio Boldewijn and Kane Hemmings were cancelled out by Ben Kennedy, Alex Revell and Danny Newton. Ashley Nathaniel-George and Panutche Camara scored in the second half as Crawley saw off Morecambe 2-0, while Port Vale won by the same scoreline against Northampto­n thanks to goals from Ben Whitfield and Manny Oyeleke.

A Reuben Reid penalty with 10 minutes left cancelled out Chuks Aneke’s first-half opener as Forest Green fought back for a 1-1 draw at MK Dons, while the contest between Cheltenham and Crewe ended goalless.
