Prince’s backing Ronaldo

FORMER Spurs midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has backed Cristiano Ronaldo to hit 30 goals this season.

The Portugal superstar (below) has yet to find the net in three Serie A games for Juventus.

He comes up against Sassuolo star Boateng in a top-of-the-table clash today.

Boateng said: “Cristiano needs to break his duck.

“After that he’ll get his usual 30 goals per season but I hope he doesn’t start against us today. “We’ll need to play the perfect match and hope Juve are not at their best.” Ronaldo’s boss Massimiliano Allegri also reckons his star man is due a goal.

He said: “Cristiano has been training well. I think this could be his day.”

But Allegri has one eye fixed on next week’s Champions League and said: “This is where the season starts in earnest.

“The objectives are to qualify from our Champions League group and lead the league and be fighting on all fronts come March.”

Former Liverpool star Emre Can could make his Juventus debut.
