Kev may be back in derby

KEVIN DE BRUYNE is targeting a return in time for the Manchester derby on November 11.

City’s Belgium World Cup star has been able to remove the brace protecting his damaged right knee to step up his rehabilitation in the gym.

It was hoped De Bruyne, 27 (below) would be back in November. And there is now increased hope that he will be available for the big showdown with neighbours United at The Etihad in seven weeks’ time.

The Daily Star Sunday revealed two weeks ago that former Chelsea man De Bruyne had been given the go-ahead to step up his rehab.

That was after a consultation in Barcelona with renowned doctor Ramon Cugat.

The midfield powerhouse was injured in training and has made only one appearance this season – as a substitute at Arsenal in August.
