ROB INJURY CAN’T STOP KLOPP BOYS

GEORGINIO WIJNALDUM finally managed an away goal in English league football yesterday – at the 58th attempt!

The Liverpool and ex-Newcastle midfielder ended his away-day blues as Jurgen

Klopp’s side cruised to victory over Tottenham.

That made it five wins out of five at the start of the season for the Anfield outfit with the only cause for concern a nasty eye injury sustained by scorer of their other goal, Roberto Firmino, in an accidental collision with Spurs’ Jan Vertonghen.

Klopp is now hoping that doesn’t prevent the striker facing PSG in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

“I didn’t see it back,” he said. “I only saw the situation from 60 yards. I have no clue exactly what happened.

“It’s something to do with the eye and for sure it’s uncomfortable for him.

“The result is perfect, because this is a difficult place to win. But the performance was outstanding.

It was the best game of the season so far.”

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said: “The performance wasn’t great and when you make mistakes against Liverpool, one of the best teams in Europe, you get punished.” LUK-ING GOOD: Romelu Lukaku after his goal
