Craig: Katya’s to blame. She broke protocol

CRAIG Revel Horwood has blasted Strictly cheat Katya Jones, ranting: “She was in the wrong.”

The show judge spoke out as the pro dancer last night took to the floor with shamed celeb partner Seann Walsh after they were caught sharing a drunken kiss.

Both made a grovelling apology on Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two on Wednesday.

Seann, 32, has since been dumped by his girlfriend of four years Rebecca Humphries.

But Craig believes the fault lies with Katya, who should “never have allowed it to happen”.

He said: “Personally, I think Katya was in the wrong. She should have put a stop to it because she’s a professional dancer.

“It’s her job not only to protect her own relationship, but to protect the celebrity and be the mentor.

“I think she broke protocol over that. She should never have allowed it to happen.”

Katya, 29, has been married to fellow dancer Neil Jones for five years and said they are “absolutely fine”.

But speaking ahead of last night’s show, Craig said he thought watching it would be hard on Neil.

Seann and Katya last night danced the Charleston, said to have been chosen because of its minimal physical contact.

He went on: “Of course, she’s married and her husband Neil is on Strictly. It will be tough for Seann and Katya, and Neil.

“They’re the ones who have to go on and do the dance of shame.”

Dancer Kristina Rihanoff, whose partner Ben Cohen was married when they were paired together on the show in 2013, weighed in: “I hope people can give them a chance.”

Meanwhile, it has been revealed the shamed pair boasted about how “supportive” their partners were just days before being caught smooching in a London pub.

Katya said that Neil was thrilled when the comedian was chosen as her celeb partner. And Seann even said that she and his now ex-girlfriend Rebecca had become pals. Just days before pictures of their kiss were published last Sunday, Katya told us: “Neil wanted me to get Seann from the start because he is like the prankster of the group.”

Seann said: “My girlfriend is absolutely loving it. She is talking to Katya and Katya is sending little tutorial videos.”

But the spark between the dancing pair already seem to be lit, with Seann gushing about their closeness.

He said: “Me and Katya were chucked in at the deep end because we don’t know each other.” Katya added: “Suddenly you know each other really well.”

Seann chipped in: “Yeah… really well.”
