RAIDERS ‘BEAST’ LYNCH GETS

- ■ by MICHAEL HAM

THERE’S a Beast ready to unleash hell on the Seattle Seahawks at Wembley today.

Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch – known as Beast Mode – gets his first chance to face his old side after leaving them in 2015.

And new Raiders coach Jon Gruden is desperate to make sure the Beast can feast on his former team-mates.

Lynch only ran for 31 yards in last Sunday’s 26-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and Gruden wants more production for the man famed for taking his opponents with him on some brutal carries.

But Lynch, 32, is not the only offensive talent on show who wants to see more of the ball.

The struggling Raiders have won only once this season and Gruden said: “We’ve got a lot of guys who need to see the ball more.

“We’ve done some good things offensively. “But good is not good enough. We need to start playing great. To do that we need to see more of Lynch. And we need to see a bit more of the ball going across the goal line, that’s the big thing.”

Quarterback Derek Carr also said he “definitely” wants Lynch to see more of the ball, especially when he ran for 130 yards on 20 carries in the Raiders’ only win against the Cleveland Browns.

“We want to be 100 per cent balanced every time,” he said. “That kind of balance is good for our football team. It’s good for me, it’s good for Lynch, it’s good for our offensive line.” Searching for that
