CHRISTIAN THE SAVIOUR AS POCH SAYS SPURS ARE STILL IN TITLE RACE

- By ADRIAN KAJUMBA

CENTURION Mauricio Pochettino declared title-chasing Tottenham believe ANYTHING is possible after Christian Eriksen kept them on Manchester City’s tails.

Spurs remain right in the Premier League hunt – five points off leaders City – after Eriksen fired them to victory with a

91st-minute winner at Wembley.

And Pochettino (left) who claimed his

100th league victory as Spurs boss in the process, said: “We are in a very good position.

“We are there, that is the reality after 17 games. We have 39 points and we are third in the table. That is a massive achievement for us. We are close.

“In football all is possible. Look what happened in the Champions League after three games. We only had one point and nobody believed.

“We believed it was possible and now we are in the next stage of the competition. Football is the same. There are a lot of things you need to put into consideration but the most important thing in football is belief and faith in the way you play and work and if you give 100 per cent, it can all happen.

“We are going to try, like previous seasons we try always to win. Maybe this season it can happen but the most important thing is to try and give your best.”

Pochettino became the first Spurs boss to win 100 Premier League games, from 169 matches, and he said: “It is many games we have played and many games we won, and I think it’s a fantastic achievement for us collectively. I’m happy.”
