Fraizer is set to stun with Bees brace blast

- By

UNDER-FIRE Brentford boss Thomas Frank insists he will battle to save his job after his nightmare start took another turn for the worse.

The woeful Bees sit just three points above the drop zone after they were sent packing by a Fraizer Campbell-inspired Tigers.

Not-so-great Dane Frank has now lost eight of his 10 games since replacing Dean Smith, sparking calls for his head from angry fans.

There was little sign of an upturn in fortunes after Campbell struck twice in the first 21 minutes to seal a comfortable win for Nigel Adkins’ side.

Brentford were in the play-off picture when the highly-rated Smith was headhunted by Aston Villa two months ago.

But the Londoners now look set for a grim winter survival battle after this latest meek surrender.

Frank, who stepped up from his role as assistant head coach, insists he is not out of his depth. The ex-Brondby boss, 45, said: “Of course you have to be worried when you’ve won one game in 10.

“But I’m 100 per cent confident I can turn it around and I’m 100 per cent sure I’ll be given time to do that.

“I’m convinced that if we can get that one win it will give us a massive boost.

“This was a result which shows why we’re suffering at the moment.

“We are making mistakes and we are being punished for them because we are not reacting quickly enough.”

Hull leapfrogged the Bees after Campbell took his tally to eight as City sealed only a second win in six.

The former England forward struck with carbon-copy finishes as he followed up when over-worked keeper Daniel Bentley pushed out shots from Kamil Grosicki and Jarrod Bowen.

The only disappointment for the Tigers was a crowd of 10,530 – the lowest for a league game in the KCOM Stadium’s 16-year history.

Hull are unbeaten in four games and boss Adkins said: “It’s an important three points against a very good side and it helps to maintain our momentum.”
