Celebs’ fave films with the Xmas factor

WE RUN DOWN THE MAGICAL MOVIES SOME WELL-KNOWN

-

I LOVE James Stewart, who plays George. Me and Julian Barratt were talking about doing a remake of that for a Christmas special. He kills himself and I turn up as an angel, but I’ve just come back from a fancy dress party and he doesn’t know that. I show him what life would be like when he’s gone – and it would be better! WATCH IT: Today, 5.45pm, Sky Cinema Xmas WATCH IT: IT’S so good. I watched it all the time as a child – even in the summer. I loved Macaulay Culkin, I thought he was so handsome. And I just loved all the tricks he plays on the burglars. I used to try to build my own traps at home. When I watch it now it feels so nostalgic. It’s such a funny movie.

Boxing Day,

2.50pm, FILM4 MILLIONS of us will curl up to enjoy some classic movies over the festive period.

In fact, the average Brit will spend 40 hours on the sofa over the next week.

A poll by Radio Times discovered our favourite Christmas flick is It’s A Wonderful Life.

Classics including Scrooge WATCH IT: and White Christmas also made the top 10 alongside more recent hits including Elf, Love Actually and The Polar Express.

There are plenty of festive favourites on the box this week and here our TV Editor

finds out what some of the biggest names on the box will be watching over the next few days. IT’S my eldest daughter’s thing, but we watch The Polar Express every Christmas Eve. If we’ve been away, we’ve taken the DVD with us – it’s the tradition of it.

It gets a bit dark when they get to the North Pole, but the train stuff is all amazing.

So it’s the four of us on the sofa, and it’s great.

WATCH IT: Tonight,

7pm, Sky Cinema Christmas WATCH IT:

Tonight, 9pm, ITV2 ED GLEAVE EASILY my favourite to watch at Christmas, although it’s more of a Thanksgiving film. It’s a great balance of comedy, poignancy, sadness and laughter.
