POLICE have arrested a teenager on suspicion of the murder of London schoolboy Jaden Moodie.

Jaden, 14, was stabbed to death on Tuesday, January 8, after being rammed off a moped by five men in a black Mercedes B class, detectives believe.

Three of the attackers got out and knifed Jaden before all of them fled in the car.

The suspect, 18, was arrested in Wembley, northwest London, yesterday, Scotland Yard said.

The man has been taken to a police station in central London where he is still being questioned.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Soole, from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “Although one man has been arrested in connection with this murder, we remain fully focused on arresting others connected to this attack.”

The vehicle used in the murder, which happened at around 6.30pm in Leyton, east London, was recovered the day after the incident.

Mr Soole added: “We are determined to find out who was responsible for Jaden’s death.” THE RUMOUR: You’re Beautiful singer James Blunt once refused to follow orders that could have triggered World War Three while serving with the British Army in Kosovo.

IS IT TRUE? James was ordered to fire on Russian soldiers in 1999 but it was his General, Mike Jackson, who made the refusal. VERDICT: Not true. NEIGHBOURS in a sleepy village are reeling after thieves stole two garden hedges in 12 hours in Tostock, Suffolk.

DARTS player Raymond van Barneveld’s wife has told how she fled naked from gunmen who robbed her home.

Silvia van Barneveld broke down as she spoke of escaping and hiding in a bush after being beaten and having a gun held to her head by one of the three intruders.

Arrows ace Barney was playing an exhibition in Barnsley, south Yorks, when the raid took place in the summer.

Silvia, 52, is regularly seen at the five-times World Champion’s side at tournaments.

A court in the couple’s native Holland heard she was home alone when the three, all in their 20s, broke in through the roof at their house, below, in The Hague, in Holland, late at night.

She wept as she told them from the witness box: “You have destroyed my life in 10 minutes.”

In a statement read to the court by her daughter, Silvia said: “I saw two suspects in the corridor and was shocked.

“I was naked and was on my way to the bathroom, so I grabbed a towel around me.

“They have entered our home, a place you should feel safe.

“This feeling has been taken away from me and my family by this cowardly act.

“I have been pulled by my hair, beaten up and threatened with death.”

Silvia said she ran and hid after a gun was put to her head.

She added: “The impact of this robbery has been enormous.

“I have a short fuse, panic attacks, sleepless nights and I do not dare to stay alone any more. Why did you threaten and beat a naked woman?

“How would you feel if it happened to your own mother?”

Last night, Raymond said: “Silvia is still finding it difficult. She can barely live in our house any more because she is too frightened.

“She’s going to live in an apartment when I’m away in future.

“The guys will be punished but it means nothing – you still need help, psychological help and support, after a thing like this.

“The police did a fantastic job to catch the guys. I want to give a special thanks to them. But even if they get five years what does it mean to us? Nothing.”

Raymond, 51, married Silvia in

1995 and they have three children. Barney is one of the most popular faces in the darts world and has made over £3million in prize money from the game.

The gang, who face sentences ranging up to five years in jail, claim they did not have a gun and deny any violence.

They admit the break-in, but say they had been drinking and did not target him deliberately.

The men, said to have been boozing to celebrate the Muslim festival of Eid, are all understood to have criminal records.

Two are in Amsterdam’s top

600 young offenders. They will be sentenced next week.

Barney thanked his fans after last June’s raid for “all their sympathy”.
