RHODRI pokes fun at Ryan’s affair with his ex-wife in a hilarious advert for Paddy Power. The video, titled “Loyalty is dead,” references the incident which ripped the family apart. It has racked up thousands of hits online. In it, there are a string of thinly veiled jibes.
In one scene in a pub there is a poster of an ale called Wandering Cock – a dig at Ryan. In another, Rhodri walks past a Tiki Bar that his brother launched but that shut within a year. And he is seen drinking from a Man City mug – Ryan played for rivals United.
At one point Rhodri’s current partner says she is going out for milk and he gives a knowing look to say they did indeed need milk. Ex Natasha used to nip out to continue an eight-year affair with Ryan, left. Voice has never done that with an artist. But it’s not just our show. No show can do that anymore. Things have changed.
“The market is different now. I’m an established artist but when I release a song it’s hard to get a No1 in the UK charts.
“We just hope contestants come off The Voice and it changes their life in some way.”
Olly and fellow coach Jennifer Hudson, 37, both competed on TV talent shows and missed out on victory.
But they refused to let it hold them back.
Olly said: “Myself and Jennifer haven’t been successful because of the shows we were on. We have had success because of the hard work we put in afterwards.”
