FORMER Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham has undergone emergency open-heart surgery.
The 69-year-old rocker is now recovering at home, but his wife revealed that the procedure damaged his vocal cords.
Kristen Buckingham posted on Facebook: “Each day he is getting stronger and stronger.”
As for the voice injury, she added: “While it is unclear if this damage is permanent, we are hopeful it is not.”
Buckingham was fired from the legendary band in January last year and in December settled a lawsuit against them for breach of fiduciary duty and breach of oral contract.
Kristen added: “This past year has been a very stressful and difficult year for our family to say the least.”
