My test car was a pale cream colour and the smell, as soon as you open the door, a pungent leathery whiff of goodliness.
You might not like the smell of leather, but if you do, this trim is one of the best car interior smells I can remember since my Uncle’s
XJ6 Jag in the Seventies.
The seats are stand-out comfortable, too. Not in a marshmallow-y sense, but in a supportive way, with every square inch of your upper and lower torso in contact with the seat’s cushions.
The heated-seats function extend their elements into the seat-backs as well as the seatpans. The steering wheel is heated, too. Cosy.
And that’s half the battle with long-distance motoring, isn’t it? Comfort is key. Comfort is what the S90 does best.
