Spaces... the final frontier
READ an interesting article this week about the inevitability of autonomous cars in the next five to 20 years.
Personally, I think it’ll take 20 years.
The piece threw up the issue of parking prices and asked the question: Why park when it’s cheaper to drive?
The author painted the picture of driverless cars just chugging around at a snail’s pace on their own to avoid having to pay expensive parking fees. Hmmm.
Based on that idea, I see a rosy future for countryside pubs where sozzled diners will be able to punch in their postcode and be driven safely home by their fully autonomous cars.
Not good for the taxi industry, though.
