LEROY FER’S move to Aston Villa broke down after a row over money during his medical.

The Swansea ace was set to join Dean Smith’s promotion-chasers on a loan that would have led to a permanent deal.

The two clubs had agreed Villa would pay his wages until the summer.

But the playmaker had an issue with his hamstring and midway through he was told the club would not be paying his full wages.

Villa wanted Swansea to contribute half. Fer was less than impressed and promptly took himself back to South Wales.
