SWEDISH rookie Per Langfors is the top seed heading into the final matchplay round of what looks to be a wide-open battle for the ISPS Handa World Super 6.

The event in Perth, Australia, saw players compete in three rounds of strokeplay with the top

24 going head-to-head in a six-hole knockout today.

The 24 were decided yesterday and world

No.678 Langfors finished top after an impressive eight-underpar 64 to finish with a one-shot lead on 10 under.

Langfors carded seven birdies and an eagle, with the only blemish a lone bogey on the 13th.

He sits one shot clear of Ireland’s Paul Dunne, Australian Brad Kennedy and Norwegian Kristoffer Reitan.

New Zealanders Ryan Fox and Gareth Paddison, Japan’s Yuta Ikeda and Belgian Thomas Pieters were on eight under to complete the final-day seedings, who are given a bye for the first round of matchplay.

Those will be whittled down to a winner through a series of head-to-heads.

Connor Syme faces friend and fellow Scot Robert MacIntyre.

“We’ve grown up playing together and it’s six-hole matchplay and anything can happen,” said Syme.

“Me and Bob are friends off the golf course but when I’m in that matchplay situation then I could be playing against anybody.

“I’m just in the zone.” McIntyre said: “It will be a friendly match but there won’t be too much talking.

“It’s six holes and it’s a sprint. You’ve got to go out there and attack.”
