UNLUCKY-in-love Melody Thornton wants a “wild horse” of a man to let her run free,

The glam Pussycat Doll singer, who got the boot from Dancing On Ice earlier this month, still has her heart set on finding her dream fella.

The former Celebs Go Dating contestant said: “I would like to ONLY Fools And Horses legend John Challis’ dream role was Doctor Who.

John, who was dodgy car dealer Boycie for nearly 30 years, told how he pestered BBC bosses for his chance to play the Time Lord.

He said: “I have always fancied playing the Doctor because I have always wanted to play larger-thanlife characters.

“And I have always seen the Doctor as an older person.

“I have written two or three letters over the years when I have known that they are going to change the Doctor, saying, ‘What about this old face? I’ll have a go, I’ll do that. What do you think?’

“But I have to admit I haven’t had a great deal of reaction.”

John made an appearance during the 13th series of meet a really nice guy who respects himself.

“The challenge I run into is that I fight for my freedom – I need space to be creative.

“Often in relationsh­ips I’m treated like a possession. I don’t need that! I need a wild RICKY Gervais is set to make a second series of his Netflix show.

The comedy superstar has already planned out plots for more episodes.

Ricky said: “I always give things a good conclusion in case I die, and that’s the case with After Life. But now I’ve thought about it, I would really like to do another series.

“I’ve got an idea of where it can go. The second series of anything you do is always better, usually because you know the actors.”

After Life has been a global hit since it launched last week.

It features Ricky playing a journalist grieving after the death of his wife.

His pain makes him so fearless, he starts telling people what he really thinks – Doctor Who. In The Seeds Of Doom in 1976, he played a ruthless mercenary called Scorby, opposite the fourth Doctor portrayed by Tom Baker.

He “worried” when he heard the Doctor would become a woman, a role taken by Jodie Whittaker.

John said: “I always saw the Doctor as male, it is the same with James Bond. I have just grown up with them.

“But I did see a bit of the lady doing it and she did a good job and the show held up.”

He added: “With Boycie, the character lives on and people seem to want to see the character.

“It belongs to the nation – it still makes me laugh.” horse – someone who lets me run free, too.”

Now 34, Melody is not ruling out becoming a mum one day.

She said: “I’d be up for freezing my eggs if need be.

“I know it’s a controvers­ial topic, but if there was a refrigerat­or that kept your chicken good for six days instead of four, why not go for it?” and he convinces himself it’s a superpower.

Ricky said: “There is a little clue that there might be more of the show at the end of series one where he says, ‘I’m just going to use my superpower for good’.

“He can still be an a***hole and enjoy it. So there’s scope for more.”

After Life boasts an all-star cast including Downton Abbey actress Penelope Wilton.
