Latin music dream has come true thanks to two of the genre’s hottest exports. Mexican star has invited Reets to sing on her banging new song, R.I.P.

It also features another WIRED fave, Brazilian megastar who recently recorded with

Sofia said: “R.I.P. is not only a song, but a message that we all need to hear.

“We all need to be encouraged to walk away from all the bulls**t that’s holding us back.

“It was also incredibly empowering for me to work with these two super women.”

Rita, who had a hit with her own I can’t wait for fans to hear the track.”

Currently enjoying a third week at No1 with Someone You Loved, the Scot even got sacked from his job at an ice cream stand after just one hour.

Lewis told me: “I had a trial shift in my local shopping centre, but they sent me home after an hour because I couldn’t scoop ice cream properly.

“Every time I tried to apply for jobs in retail, I wouldn’t get it because my only experience was playing shows in pubs.

“It might have been because I was a terrible candidate with a shockingly bad CV. Either is plausible.”

Lewis, who releases his debut album Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent in May, explained: “I was really lucky to realise I wanted to be a singer from the age of four.

“I saw a show called The Beatles At The BBC, a bunch of singers covering and I was blown away by singing With A Little Help From My Friends.

“It was the gravel and power Joe’s voice had – to this day, I wish I could sing like that.”

Lewis would love to bring his own powerful voice into the studio with

or Sia one day. He said: “For live singers in pop, Ariana and Sia have the most incredible voices.

“They’re ridiculously talented and I’d love to do something with either of them.”

Lewis is playing at a host of summer festivals, including The Great Escape, Tramlines, Truck, Boardmasters, Victorious and Weekender – and he welcomes undies being chucked at him.

He joked: “Someone threw underwear on stage at my last tour.

“That was a relief, as I’d run out of clean pants.”

You too can provide Lewis with fresh smalls when he performs live at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in May.

and Madonna made amazing hits. That has been our approach. I’ve always loved Top 40 pop radio. I love greatest hits albums.

“Great singles can get out into the world and show people an alternative way of thinking. They make you feel less alone.”
