JADON SANCHO may still be a teenager but he’s already a trailblazer for the future stars of English football. start just two more games in the league. Unlike Sancho, Foden did go on City’s pre-season tour of America that summer and starred against Manchester United in Houston to leave Guardiola gushing when he said: “It’s a long time since I saw something like this. His performance was another level. .”

Unfortunately for Foden, it’s been a “long time” waiting to see him fulfil his undoubted potential. He might be a “gift” but he’s also one Guardiola is reluctant to unwrap.

He wants Foden to knock down his door demanding to play. Foden said recently that’s not his style and that he will continue to show his boss on the training ground that he’s good to go and can be trusted.
