Mike’s wife: Kat is drama queen

MIKE Bushell says his wife is thrilled he has been partnered with love-cheat Katya Jones on Strictly.

The presenter married marketing executive Emily earlier this year.

He said: “Emily was at the launch show when I was paired with Katya and she was absolutely delighted about it.

“She’s a massive fan of the show and she’s always thought Katya is one of the best choreographers because she’s absolutely fantastic with the drama.

Katya would be brilliant for me because I need a lot of work and the energy would be matching.

“After the launch show finished Emily and Katya were chatting and I could hardly get a word in edgeways. And since then we’ve gone out for a couple of meals. It’s been wonderful.”

Mike added: “I feel like a kid in a sweet shop. Me and Katya have had such a laugh. I’ve never had so much energy. I’ve lost half a stone. Emily has said she’s really pleased. “The longer I’m on the show, the happier she’ll be.” Amanda Holden told them: “I will never forget the moment we first saw you. Next to having my children, it was probably one of the most joyous moments of my entire life.” An emotional Demi said: “This show is amazing. We’ve been all over the world. We’ve done things at places we never thought we’d be and it’s because of you guys.” Talking about Lagi, he added: “I’ve watched him grow up and I’ve never been so proud as I am now.” US comic Preacher Lawson also won a place in the final after polling the most votes from the audience. He said: “I’m just so happy.”
