- Elvis Ed Sheeran Noel Greg Kurstin Andrew Wyatt. McCartney. Paul

has finally stepped out of the shadow and become the solo rock star he was born to be.

His new album, Why Me? Why Not, has enjoyed huge acclaim on its release last week.

And it’s all part of Liam’s masterplan. He said: “Rock is coming back, guitars are coming back. I don’t think I’m the last rock star but I’m the best.

“I do the job that invented, I’m trying to bring rock back to the people. I try to satisfy my audience.

“I want to entertain those who work their ass off to pay to come to my concerts.

“Then if your record sells or not, who cares. If you want to sell, make singles like and s**t like that.”

Liam is giving his fans exactly what they want, which he believes is the opposite to what his brother

is doing.

He added: “Noel has never been a rocker. He writes songs, but although he may think he is a good singer, he is not.

“He is not capable of making a beautiful vocal interpretation. He does not have that ability, so he dilutes everything to feel at ease while singing.

“He’s not comfortable with rock ‘n’ roll. Maybe he has aged, maybe his wife likes the music or he doesn’t like to see people jumping at concerts.

“But that’s what he does now and I have no desire to change my genre of music.”

Knowing his limits has helped Liam produce great music with songwriters and

He said: “I’m not Noel or

“But I know that as a singer nobody can give me lessons. If I can concentrate on a killer interpretation, the result is better.

“I’m not an egomaniac, although I know it can seem like I am.”

And giving fans what they want is precisely what he plans to do on tour in November.

He promised: “People come to concerts to hear your songs – the ones they know.

“Not doing them would be a lack of respect. F*** that!

“I will play those songs until the day of my death.”

Now the focus is back on Liam, does he have any advice for his estranged older brother Noel?

He quipped: “He should live better. I feel sorry for him.

“He always tried to show that he was the boss of his f***ing little world and it made him crazy to be on stage with. He looked like a dwarf searching for attention.

“I really want him to be happy but I don’t think he wants the same for me.”
