Zac back to set up Ram raid

-

THE NFL is back in London – the Cincinnati Bengals versus the LA Rams – and it’s an exciting day.

What’s most exciting for the players on both teams is the crowd. The noise and intensity during every single play is something they don’t get at home.

It’s loud the whole time, there will be constant cheering and it’s new to them. The fans make these London games special and the players will feed off that intensity.

When it comes down to the game, the Bengals have a bad record. They still haven’t won this season but these are two teams who have familiarity with the coaching staff.

Zac Taylor, the Bengals head coach (left) is a disciple of Rams coach Sean McVay. If the Bengals have any success, it will be because Taylor has some special nuggets for his defence.

The real story is the Rams and their defence. Everyone is talking about the Jalen Ramsey trade, one of the best moves of the year.

Unlike last season when their offence was prolific, they’re now being led by the defence. Adding Ramsey makes a good defence even stronger and that will bring them success. It’s a smart move.

Teaming up with Aaron Donald, you have arguably the best cornerback in the league paired with the best defensive lineman. I have never seen that on the same team before. It’s a frightening prospect and it’s going to be exciting to watch that partnership start to flourish on Sunday.

In the US, San Francisco 49ers vs Carolina Panthers features two of the hottest NFC teams. The Panthers have won four in a row and the 49ers are unbeaten. It’s a chance to see how good the 49ers offence really is.

The Kansas City Chiefs vs the Green Bay Packers would’ve been the game of the week but with Patrick Mahomes out, we’re not going to get to see that battle with Aaron Rodgers, which is a shame.
