‘EVERY DAY IS UNBELIEVABLE’

Kammy shout of this world

- EXCLUSIVE by ED GLEAVE

CHRIS Kamara says he can’t go anywhere without fans shouting, “Unbelievable Jeff!”

The telly favourite, 61, is known for saying the catchphrase when he’s commentating on football matches on Sky Sports alongside Jeff Stelling.

And the words are now so famous he hears them all the time.

Chris told the Daily Star Sunday: “People are always coming up to me and saying, ‘Unbelievable Jeff!’ It’s happening six times a day.

“It’s all day, every day. But I don’t find it annoying, not at all. It’s lovely.”

Jeff even has fans saying it to him when he’s on holiday thousands of miles from home.

He added: “The strangest place it’s happened was when I was in Las Vegas.

“Me and my wife were in the downtown area of the city and there was a bloke stood there with a puppet.

“As we walked past him I thought I heard him shout, ‘Unbelievable Jeff.’

“My wife and I looked at each other and thought, ‘It can’t be.’ But then he did it again so we went over and asked how he knew. It turned out he’d studied at university in London and used to watch Sky Sports.”

Chris, nicknamed Kammy, found fame as a player with stints at clubs including Leeds United.

Since retiring he’s become one of TV’s best-loved sports presenters.

And in recent years he’s become the king of entertainment as well with a stint hosting gameshow Ninja Warrior UK.

Chris’ projects have made him popular with millions of Brits.

He said: “When people see me they smile. There is no downside to being me whatsoever.”

Chris has also burst on to the music scene with a festive record.

In a surprise move he released festive track Here’s To Christmas last week – and it’s tipped for the top spot.

He said: “It has that quality of all the best classic songs. I feel fortunate that I can call it my own and I’m so proud.”
