Brees can block off 49ers’ run

TWO 10-2 teams in very different situations have a huge game against each other today.

The New Orleans Saints have already clinched their division – but for the San Francisco 49ers this is a game they need to win.

They’re playing to win the division in a big battle with the Seahawks – and I’d say they’re a lock if they were anywhere but the Superdome.

It’s a hard place to play and they’re up against a great team and all-time great quarterback in Drew Brees (below) who are great at stopping the run – which is the last thing they want to face with their offense.

All eyes will be on that match-up but what I want to see is if the

Saints offense can have success against the NFL’s best defence.

I’m expecting a high-scoring game here and if the Saints win then I think we can say they’re the best team in the NFC.

There’s another huge game for the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots over in the AFC. The Patriots are coming off their second loss of the season but it’s the Chiefs who are fighting to show their play-off credentials.

We’re all looking for the Chiefs offense vs the Pats defence. Kansas QB Patrick Mahomes is coming off his injury but this is their big test.

Can their receivers get open? Can they hit their stride? This is a game they need a big performance to get some confidence for a play-off run.

I also want to see if the Patriots can run the ball against a bad run defence and I think that will be key to them winning this game.

Elsewhere, I expect the Seattle Seahawks – the scariest team in the NFL right now – to beat the LA Rams in a tough division game.

The Rams are fighting for their play-off lives but looking at Seattle right now, I think they’ll keep rolling.

Patrick Mahomes

HE is undoubtedly one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

He is the reason why the Chiefs can win games. At his best, his side can outscore anybody.
