TOM’S A SEX BOMB TO THE OVER-80S

- By

SIR Tom Jones is still a Sex Bomb at 79…but only for the nation’s grannies.

The music legend regularly gets propositioned by cheeky fans who have lusted after him for decades. But now he has confessed that the requests are coming from older ladies.

He told the Daily Star Sunday: “I still have women being flirty, but these days it’s mothers or grandmothers.

“I always say, ‘Thank you very much’. Sometimes they have my name across their chest. And quite often I’ll get fans coming up to me and say, ‘Both my grannies like you’.”

He added: “I was at a gig in Scotland and I opened the show with a song called Burning Hell, which opens with the lyric, ‘I’m going down’.

And the fella that works with me heard a woman saying, ‘No, I’m going down on you Tom’. I’m glad I didn’t hear it at the time because I wouldn’t have been able to sing any more.”

Tom also got plenty of attention from the ladies while filming for the new series of The Voice.

Women came dressed head to toe in clothes bearing his image.

Next year will see the singer hit 80.

He said: “I don’t feel my age at all. I can’t believe it when people say I’ll be 80.

“My grandmother was 82 when she died. I really don’t feel anywhere near it, especially when I’m sitting down. It’s only when I get up or move a bit fast that I think ‘Oh, hang about’.” Tom is planning a special gig for his big birthday in June, hinting he’ll play to 80,000 fans at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium. He added: “I’ll be playing something special. And I’m having a p***-up.” Tom will be back on television next Saturday when The Voice returns to ITV.
