IS this the end for soap’s hottest on-off couple?

Ben and Callum, affectionally known as “Ballum” by their army of fans, have had viewers gripped with their on-off relationship.

But with Ben having ordered Keanu Taylor’s murder, the hunk comes up with a revenge plot that could bring a violent end to the popular couple’s affair.

In scenes filmed last week the Daily Star Sunday can exclusively reveal that Keanu, played by Danny Walters, 26, returns to Albert Square and kidnaps Ben’s true love.

EastEnders bosses are keeping tight-lipped as to whether or not Callum meets a grizzly end but the storyline looks set to be part of the soap’s big 35th anniversary week.

As our exclusive location shots show, Callum’s brother Stuart (actor Ricky Champ, 39) discovers what Keanu is planning and frantically races to the derelict warehouse.

Actor Tony Clay, 28, who plays Callum, was also spotted with blood on his face and there was an ambulance parked up outside the building.

Whether or not he makes it out alive remains to be seen.

An EastEnders insider said:

“Ben got Martin Fowler to kill Keanu after he got both his sister Louise and step-mum Sharon pregnant.

“He told dad Phil he’d sorted it but, as viewers know, Martin helped to fake Keanu’s death and the hunk had no choice but to flee the country.

“But he looks set to return and have his revenge on Ben ahead of the soap’s explosive 35th on February 19, which also coincides with the birth of his baby with Sharon.

“The week is going to be huge and will see at least one character killed off as the locals attend a boat party down the River Thames,” added the insider.
