I’m chilled out about scary routines

STAR SHRUGS OFF INJURY HORROR

- By ED GLEAVE

INJURY has not stopped Dancing On Ice pro Vanessa Bauer from being fearless. Days after recovering from severe concussion, the 23-yearold is ready to tackle deathdefying moves again.

The skater is determined her setback won’t affect her and celeb partner Perri Kiely, inset.

She told the Daily Star Sunday: “I’ll always want to keep doing difficult moves and making the choreography as adventurous as possible.

“I want to make the routine stand out on the show.

“I’m not afraid of doing scary moves.

“I will remain fearless. I’m not going to change.”

Vanessa suffered her horror injury when she crashed into a wall during rehearsals.

It caused her bruising and concussion that was so bad she was forced to pull out of last weekend’s live show.

She said: “I was really upset that I couldn’t skate.

“Everyone at the show was being so cautious because they want the best for me. But obviously I want to be part of the show. I had to rest as much as possible.

“I couldn’t do anything. I couldn’t even look at my phone. “I was sat at home doing nothing.”

Vanessa had to have an MRI scan this week to see if she could return to the rink. And the star was afraid that doctors would order her to pull out of the series for good. She added: “The medic told me how serious my concussion was, so I was really worried. “I thought I’d have to pull out of the whole series. “It was so nerve-racking finding out if I could skate. “It’s all up to them. You have to follow their advice.

“I felt fine but I still had to get the all-clear from the doctor. “So I was so pleased when they said I could return.” Despite the injury setback, Vanessa and Perri, 24, are still the hot favourites to win this series.
