Since appearing on Love Island four years ago, Olivia Buckland has landed the man of her dreams, a new career and a £4.2million fortune.

The 26-year-old model said: “It’s all so surreal. I never thought my life would end up like this. It’s crazy.”

Olivia is happier than ever after meeting hunky Alex Bowen in the Love Island villa.

The pair have beaten the odds and outlasted their rivals.

They married in a lavish ceremony in 2018 and say they are now stronger than ever as a couple.

Olivia said: “I think because Love Island viewers have seen the journey Alex and I have been on – from strangers in the villa to husband and wife – they are all so invested and really root for us, which is so sweet.

“My advice to anyone looking for love would be that they shouldn’t think too much into things.

“And you need to be open to meeting new people.”

Sharing her secrets, she added: “I think the key to my relationsh­ip with Alex is definitely communicat­ion, laughter and lots of date nights.

“Whether it’s a night out together or a cosy night in with the dogs, it’s so important to have quality time together.”

Essex girl Olivia’s career has bloomed alongside her love life since leaving the villa.

There has been plenty of TV work, including a reality show alongside Alex, 27.

And she has landed a string of fashion deals including one to be the face of tanning brand Cocoa Brown.

Olivia said: “Love Island can do so much for your career. It’s amazing working with Cocoa

Brown. They’re an incredible br and it also means I get to have a g tan. It really helps to add definit and tone to your look, which i bonus.”

A fresh batch of Islanders arri in the new villa in Cape Town week hoping to emulate Olivia.

She reckons the way to make most of the opportunit­y is sim “You have to be unapologet­ic yourself and show off y personalit­y.

“I know that sounds really obvio but a lot of people think they sho act a certain way and they’re worr about putting a foot wrong.

“But just being yourself and stay true to who you are is such a thing. That goes a long way.

“And when you leave, take ev opportunit­y you can. Don’t tak minute for granted.”

Some previous contestant­s h struggled to cope with fame.

But Olivia says with the right s port the wannabes should be fine

She said: “It was always import to take a step back and breathe at beginning and not get caught up the whirlwind that comes after le ing the show.

“It was a huge change in my life my family and friends were amaz making sure I stayed grounded.

“Love Island’s team offer a lo support, too. And I had Alex nex me, which was a huge support.”

Olivia added: “Everyone gets tr ing but you have to try not to let th get to you, although I know it’s ea said than done.

“Unfortunat­ely, there’s alw going to be a small group of peo who feel the need to be unk online, but there are so many peo who will be kind.”
