BGT boss offers to join act

- EXCLUSIVE by ED GLEAVE

SIMON Cowell was so impressed by a wrestling duo at the Britain’s Got Talent auditions he offered to join the act.

The show boss, 60, was thrilled when he saw a lookalike of himself duel with a hunky postman at filming in London last week. He told them: “I think if this was really well produced, it would be fun.”

Simon, inset, even said he was up for joining the act for a future performance with fellow judge David Walliams, 48. He added: “I would consider it…with a ring and an entrance, I think it would be good.

We have never had wrestling in one of the finals before.

“Maybe we can make a tag team and I will be on your side and David on the other.

“This could work. We need to up the production values. People need to get really hurt. I am up for this.”

David was also impressed by the act and could not help flirting during his comments.

He told them: “I do like an act with homoerotic undertones. I think it would be good as we have never had wrestling on Britain’s

Got Talent.” But the remark landed David in hot water.

Simon said: “Behave. He is showing off as I think there is somebody in the audience that he fancies.”

Auditions for the new series of BGT kicked off with five days of heats at the London Palladium. Other acts to wow the judges include a children’s choir with a song about climate change. There was also a pensioner who painted a portrait of Simon and David with his private parts. Heats will continue at The Lowry in Manchester on February 5.
