‘England footie ace says help others in virus crisis... but shuns love child’
FOOTBALL hero Kyle Walker is facing claims he’s shown no support for the woman carrying his baby.
The England star this week urged players to do more to help their fans in lockdown but has been accused of doing nothing for devastated Lauryn Goodman.
ENGLAND ace Kyle Walker has been accused of failing to support the mother of his unborn child, we can reveal.
Since getting model Lauryn Goodman pregnant last summer, the Premier League star has been nowhere to be seen, friends close to her say.
This week Walker called on Brits to help each other during the coronavirus crisis. But his plea was greeted with shock by the mother of his unborn baby – as, she claims, behind closed doors he’s offering no help to them.
Lauryn, 29, last night told a pal: “I’m so confused. Kyle is meant to be a good person, so I don’t understand why he hasn’t been around to support me through this, especially in this pandemic. I’m completely baffled by it.”
And in a cryptic post on Twitter she said: “Always make sure your side of the street is clean and always do the best you can do. That way you have no regrets!”
Manchester City defender Walker, 29, earned a wave of good publicity last week when he made a plea for people to think of others while the virus forces everyone into lockdown.
He said: “I think it is something where we have to just bite the bullet and think about others rather than yourselves.
“We have to think about other people’s health and protecting the elderly and family members that can spread it.”
But he made no mention about the impending birth of his fourth child, which is due later this month. He already has three sons with long-term partner Annie Kilner.
Kyle and Lauryn, who have been pals for eight years, had a relationship last summer while they were both single.
And after it emerged she was expecting his baby, he vowed to be supportive throughout the pregnancy and attend the birth. But since she was spotted in Barbados with her bump, Lauryn claims, she has been left with no help from Kyle, who earns an estimated £6million a year. She says she is determined, however, not to let it affect her pregnancy.
A source close to her said: “It’s been tough for Lauryn. When she told Kyle she was pregnant he offered his full support. “But there hasn’t been any and now she feels let down, especially given she is due to give birth during a pandemic. “You would’ve thought it would make him realise his responsibilities. It’s extremely disappointing.
“But she is a strong woman and will do right by their baby. She has a good support network.”
Lauryn faces the prospect of giving birth alone as hospital rules on birthing partners keep changing amid the virus emergency.
But she is determined to make the best of her situation and has been documenting her experience on social media. The Hove-born model has also posed for an amazing new photoshoot to celebrate her growing bump. Lauryn became pregnant against the odds. In 2015 she was diagnosed with endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome. Medics told her that it meant she would never conceive naturally and would have to undergo IVF treatment. So when she fell pregnant with the baby last summer, it gave her the shock of her life. She found out when she had a routine kidney scan – and was told she was 20 weeks in.
Lauryn’s representatives have made no comment.
Walker’s representatives were approached for a comment but had not responded last night.
