Ol’ Eyes made my hair fall out

SAYS GAIL PORTER

TV STAR Gail Porter claims the ghost of Frank Sinatra made her lose her hair.

The 49-year-old former Top Of The Pops and Big Breakfast presenter was first found to be suffering from alopecia 15 years ago.

But she said her hair only started falling out in clumps after visiting Sinatra’s grave while filming a telly show on the paranormal.

Gail said: “I had been working in America on a programme called Dead Famous – we were looking for Frank Sinatra in a graveyard in Las Vegas... and then bits of my hair started falling out.

“My boyfriend was the cameraman and he was like, ‘Your hair is falling out.’

“And I was like, ‘It’ll be fine, maybe it’s hormonal.’”

The show, which Gail presented on Living TV between

2004 and 2006, saw her and clairvoyant Chris Fleming investigating unexplained paranormal events surrounding legends like Frank, James Dean, Marilyn Monroe and Jim Morrison.

Gail, who also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother in

2015, said her hair was “gone” in just four weeks. And she revealed her mum Sandra had warned her not to do the Dead Famous show, saying that “messing with the dark side” would cause her to lose her hair.

Speaking on the Louis Theroux podcast this week, Gail said: “I went up to Edinburgh to see my mum... I took my hat off and the first thing she said was, ‘I told you if you mess with the dark side they will take your hair.’

Louis said: “My question was going to be, was it related to stress or being bipolar and the breakdown of your marriage.

“But it turns out it was Ol’ Blue Eyes.”

Gail – who in 1999 had a nude photo of herself projected on to the Houses of Parliament in 1999 by FHM magazine – responded: “It was Frank Sinatra in Las Vegas.”
