WILL Smith’s actress wife has admitted to having an affair. Jada Pinkett Smith, 48, confirmed rumours she had a fling with rapper August Alsina, 27.

The confession came in a live web chat, with her husband across the table.

She said: “I just wanted to feel good. It had been so long since I had felt good.”

The affair happened four years ago while

Jada and Will, right, were separated.

After claims the pair have an open marriage, they appeared together on her live Facebook show Red Table Talk to set the record straight. Jada told Will she first became close to August when they both tried to help him through a hard time. She said: “It all started with him needing some help, me wanting to help his health, his mental state. We found all those different resources to help pull him through. You and I were going through a difficult time.” She added: “We were over. From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.

“I was in a lot of pain and I was very broken. I definitely realised that you can’t find happiness outside yourself. “Through that particular journey, I learned so much about myself and was able to really confront a lot of emotional immaturity, emotional insecurity and I was really able to do some really deep healing.” Will, 51, admitted he thought their marriage was over when they split. He told Jada: “I was done with you. We were gonna separate. I wasn’t sure I was ever gonna speak to you again. It’s a miracle.”

Jada claims she hasn’t talked to August in years and their romance is over. She now has “unconditional love” for Will.

The couple wed in 1997 and have two children together – son Jaden, 22, and daughter Willow, 19.
