-

SUE Perkins has signed a big-money deal with Comedy Central UK, we can reveal.

The presenter is set to star on a new-look version of Celebrity Game Night.

Bosses at the network are reviving the format with the title Comedy Game Night and they have signed up Sue to be a team captain.

A TV insider said: “Execs are thrilled to have Sue on board for the new series.

“She’s never short of one-liners and off-thecuff quips, so she’s perfect for a laid-back format like this.”

Man Like Mobeen star Guz Khan has already signed up to be the rival team captain on the series.

Famous faces will be joining the teams each week. The line-up includes After Life star Kerry Godliman, singer Martine McCutcheon and presenter Clare Balding.

Other guests will be actress Sally Lindsay, I’m A Celeb campmate Andrew Maxwell, comic Sally Phillips and chef Andi Oliver.

A Comedy Central spokeswoman said: “The teams will go head to head in a series of fun, entertaining and hilarious games, which will test their pop culture knowledge, acting skills and nerves of steel.”

Liza Tarbuck is returning as the host after impressing first time around.

Celebrity Game Night was a ratings hit when it launched on Channel 5 in late 2018.

And bosses reckon the new version will be just as popular.

Exec producer Will Macdonald said: “We’re impossibly excited to be back with a new series of this ridiculously warm and funny show – just what the nation needs.

“It’s been great to be back in the studio and we can’t wait for viewers to enjoy Sue and Guz trying to name four types of biscuit before a glitter explosion goes off in their face as much as we did.”

Filming will follow Government guidelines about coronavirus.
