Brit hotel plunge horror

A BRITISH tourist has died at a luxury Costa del Sol hotel after plunging from a balcony and landing on another man on the terrace below.

The Spaniard he fell on is thought to be a 43-yearold local who was enjoying a late night drink at the time. The two men died instantly. Police are trying to work out whether the holidaymaker jumped or fell by accident. The tragedy happened at 1.45am yesterday at the five-star Melia Don Pepe Hotel in upmarket Marbella.

The British man was aged around 50. He is understood to have been on holiday with family.

A spokesman for the National Police in Malaga said: “I can confirm two men have died at a hotel in Marbella after one plunged from the seventh-floor and landed on top of another.” They added: “We are investigating.”
