- EXCLUSIVE by MIKE PARKER

£15.6million American fortune could go to victims of the child sex ring she allegedly ran for paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, it has been claimed.

The British socialite’s cash was discovered in 15 bank accounts that bear both her name and several others, which could be aliases, according to the FBI.

Around half her wealth – just over

£7.8m – was reportedly managed by JPMorgan Chase, which also handled part of Epstein’s fortune.

All of Maxwell’s accounts have been frozen and a senior source involved in the case confirmed yesterday: “The FBI is examining her finances in minute detail.

“Federal prosecutors can make every last penny the subject of a forfeiture order if she is found guilty at her trial and if it can be established she was paid by Epstein.”

They could also legally confiscate the mansion near Bedford, New Hampshire, where she was arrested earlier this month.

The source added: “Many are hoping the whole lot is eventually allocated to the compensation fund that has been set up for Epstein’s many victims.

“Ms Maxwell and her legal team are fully aware that her finances are among the many threads being pursued by agents. She must know she risks losing everything.”

Federal prosecutors have already indicated they believe Maxwell, who could face up to 35 years behind bars after her trial next year, earned the £15.6m over the course of a decade during which they claim she recruited underage girls for Epstein and his rich and powerful friends.

Maxwell, 58, has pleaded not guilty to six federal trafficking charges.
