PLUMS-UP can show he has got what to seal a top-four finish

And when you’re Brandon Williams (below), when you’re Mason – when you’re one of the young kids who have come through this academy – they have no fear.

“They know what we want from our players.

“We want them to express their talents, we want them to take risks, we want them to play with a pair of plums, to put it that way. We just trust them to do that. We have a great camaraderie in the team, the bonding is good and they are ready.

“We’ve given ourselves a fantastic chance and have 90 minutes to get a result.

“If you want to be part of Manchester United you should get used to playing the last game of the season as a win or bust.

“Hopefully we can get to cup finals in years to come and this is one game to experience and learn from – and hopefully get a result.

“We’re trying to build a team that can win trophies, can put fear into teams and play without fear ourselves, because the DNA of this club is to go and attack teams.

“We want to go to the next level. We want to be playing against the best teams, of course.

“But this is a journey that I am on with the club and we are hopefully going places.

“We are getting better and more and more like the team I want United to look like.

“That is the job that I’ve been brought in to do. “Leicester will be a big game in that respect – to see how far we have come mentally.

“And to see how strong we are going into the last game of the season which we hope to do for years to come, FA Cup finals or Champions League finals or to win the Premier League.

“The next game is always the most important in charge at this club.

“We have had many important ones this season, many defining moments and this last one is another on a journey for this team.”

Solskjaer accepts it will be an emotional day for Harry Maguire on his return to the King Power Stadium after his £80million move last summer – a record for a defender.

“That is football for you. Of course the emotions and the feelings he has for Leicester, he has to leave them aside for 90 minutes-plus.

“He has had a great time there, he has spoken about that and he is grateful for his time there.

“But, and this is unfortunately for them, for 90 minutes he has to leave that aside.

“He is a defender. You don’t want them to be emotional anyway so

Harry is fine.

“He’ll be all right.”
