Room Review

- Flemings Mayfair, London

Location:

THIS top end hotel is one of the best-kept secrets in London – with a five star location to match its accolades. It is tucked discreetly down a quiet side road that happens to be slap bang in the heart of beautiful Mayfair.

But there is nothing pretentious or stuffy about this divine ■ by ISOBEL hotel. It’s a few DICKINSON minutes walk to

Buckingham Palace and 15 minutes to

Piccadilly Circus, but feels a million miles from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Bedrooms:

The hotel offers 129 luxury guest rooms and suites as well as 10 sumptuous apartments of one, two or three bedrooms.

Our deluxe double was a good size and beautifully decorated, and came with a bath – a rare luxury these days.

The vibe is rock and roll meets Hollywood, with teal bed heads and black and white pictures of A-listers dotted around.

Our room had a Krups coffee machine, robes, slippers and bottles of water as well as a range of mini bar options.

Due to Covid-19 regulations toiletries had been removed from bedrooms, but we were handed a cute package of smellies at check-in.

Food & Drink:

Our stay included an incredible three course meal and glass of champagne at Ormer, the hotel restaurant which is a destination in itself due to the head chef – TV’s Shaun Rankin. The icing on the cake had to be the staff, who couldn’t have been more accommodating or friendly.

Facilities:

There is a stunning Drawing Room next to the lobby where afternoon tea is served, as well as Manetta’s bar, a decadent cocktail bar which has been popular with celebs.

It’s low lit and intimate and the decor gives a nod to the 30s when it was a popular hangout for the literary set.

There is also a gym.
