What a whopper!

YOU’LL need to be ravenous if you’re going to tackle this monster.

The 16in-wide burger contains a colossal 10,000 calories and is made up of 6lb of beef, 10 rashers of bacon, 15 slices of cheese, 40 slices of pepperoni and half a block of halloumi.

And that’s before you even take on the moat of chips. It’s so wide it barely fits on to a dustbin lid.

The staggering eating challenge is being offered by Madihah’s Takeaway in Workington, Cumbria.

The meal – which normally costs £30 – is free to anyone who can finish it in one hour.

It contains almost a week’s worth of calories for a woman in a single sitting.

Owner Kyle Barlow, 30, said: “I always try new things, but every takeaway I went into as a kid was the same. We put a 9in challenge on and everyone found it really easy so I thought, ‘Let’s see how they cope with one twice the size’. I was going to make a 20in burger challenge, but our baker said the biggest single bun they could get us was 16in, so we had to go with that. “I’m pretty sure nobody is going to be able to finish this burger, but if they do I’ll make a bigger one.” Hungry Hannah Phillips, 25, tried to conquer the beast. But she threw in the towel after managing only a single slice of the mighty meal.

She said: “I honestly expected to walk this challenge, but this was just enormous. The first few bites were amazing, but I was full pretty much instantly.

“I think I barely managed to finish a slice of the burger. I think that says it all – any burger that requires a slice to be cut out of it is simply too big for one person.”
