There are some ultra-competitive handicaps to get our teeth stuck into, none more so than the mile-and-a-quarter event in which GOOD BIRTHDAY (2.30) looks ready to strike.
Andrew Balding’s charge looked set to have a successful season in the top handicaps after a good debut at Newmarket but hasn’t made his mark in some tough events since.
He may just work better in this much bigger field and he could surprise the likes of Muraad and Victory Chime. At Wolverhampton, I am really keen on old TEEPEE
TIME (1.55) making all the running and holding off the stronger stayers.
He nearly did that last time out before flattening out close to home. Also look at that race’s winner,
