CAZ STILL USED TO FLOG EYE LASHES
Plug still up on site
A COMPANY is promoting fake eyelashes using quotes from TV presenter Caroline Flack, six months after her death.
Edy London is still carrying the comments from the Love Island host.
The glowing review from the telly star includes the words, “Thank you. I love them”, on its website.
Caroline’s comments are featured at the top of a string of celebrity endorsements about the eyelash range.
One potential customer who spoke to this newspaper said it was upsetting to see Caroline’s endorsement.
The woman said: “It was sad to see Caroline’s comments on the site.
“It’s a little disrespectful to her now she is no longer with us.
“They down.”
Fellow TV presenters Trinny Woodhall, Lisa Snowdon, Nadia Sawalha and singer Vanessa White also rave about the brand.
The company has snaps of Caroline, who died age 40 in February, on their
Instagram take it page. The photos show her winking and showing off the lashes, which she wore at the Tric Awards in March 2018.
Edy London was set up by make-up artist Edyta Kurowska. A full set of lashes by the company costs around £400. This month, an inquest ruled Caroline took her own life while she was facing trial after being accused of assaulting her boyfriend. The popular television host was found dead at her home in Stoke Newington, north London, in February. She died the day after she had learned the Crown Prosecution Service was pursuing charges that she had allegedly attacked Lewis Burton, 27. Lewis has since found love with Lottie Tomlinson, 21, sister of the One Direction star Louis. We have asked Edy London for a comment.
