FRIENDLY GHOST BRUCIE HAUNTS THE PALLADIUM

- EXCLUSIVE by ISOBEL DICKINSON Chief reporter

TV legend Bruce Forsyth’s ghost is haunting the theatre where his ashes are buried.

Actors and staff at the London Palladium are convinced there is a “friendly” presence at the playhouse. And they are sure it is the spirit of the much-loved telly and theatre entertainer who died three years ago.

A source said: “Some strange things have been happening at the theatre and everyone’s certain it’s him.

“The Palladium was always

Bruce’s kingdom and his presence there is felt now more than ever.

“Weird things keep happening, like people’s scripts and belongings being moved and turning up in strange places.

“Lights will dim when people are trying to read their lines in rehearsals and stuff like that.

“It’s nothing sinister, it’s like Bruce is playing practical jokes on everyone, just like when he was alive.”

Rehearsals are currently under way for the theatre’s production of Pantoland, which starts in December.

Julian Clary and Elaine Paige will star in the show alongside a host of other big names.

The source added: “Actors are very superstitious people, and since Bruce’s ashes were buried there all the stars have been very mindful that he could be watching over them.”

The telly icon died in 2017 aged 89 after a long battle with illness. The Daily Star Sunday exclusively revealed in 2018 that the Strictly star’s ashes were being scattered under the Palladium’s boards. Bruce’s wife Lady Wilnelia and his six children gathered for a private ceremony a year after his death. A plaque, left, on the wall says he was “without question the UK’s greatest entertainer”. It adds: “He rests in peace within the sound of music, laughter and dancing... exactly where he would want to be.”

Bruce launched his stellar 60year career at the theatre, where he presented Sunday Night At The Palladium for years.

He once said of the landmark: “No theatre on this earth has ever superseded the Palladium in my affections. It is just so special.” Our source added: “Whatever is causing these strange goingson, it’s nice to think that Bruce is still around.”
