DON’T TELL ME I CAN’T LOOK SEXY

Olivia: Just leave grid girls ALONE

- EXCLUSIVE by ED GLEAVE edward.gleave@dailystar.co.uk

OLIVIA Attwood has had a pop at snowflakes who want to ban women from doing sexy jobs.

The Love Island star, 29, is furious about the campaigns calling for an end to Page 3 and motorsport grid girls.

She said: “People are so backwards. They are telling girls, ‘We’re going to protect you from being objectified’, while taking away Page 3 and stopping grid girls.

“But that’s not empowering us.

“Why should you tell me what makes me feel good? It should be down to the individual. It should be fine for someone to do whatever makes them feel empowered.”

Olivia has done plenty of sexy photoshoots, and before finding fame was a grid girl at races.

The Guildford-born reality TV star said: “Being a grid girl was a great experience. I was really well looked after. I never felt objectified or uncomfortable. I felt respected and I felt empowered. “I worked with the biggest teams and I travelled the world.

“It opened doors for me that I would never have otherwise been able to walk through.

“I feel lucky that I got to be a part of that era and I feel really sad that other girls won’t get to be part of it.” She added: “Ultimately, every girl who has worked in this industry will have their own story, and my experience was entirely positive. I feel the same about the sexy photoshoots that I’ve done. It’s brilliant.”

Olivia’s career has made her a target for criticism over the years, but she refuses to let it get to her.

She said: “You become immune to criticism and abusive comments. In this industry, you don’t really have a choice.

“You either let them eat you up and destroy you and you’ll have to remove yourself from the industry, or you can choose not to let them win.”

The star is back on the box tonight in her new reality show Olivia Meets Her Match, at

10pm on ITVBe.
