BUSY BOYS: Lucas Moura has backed Spurs to handle workload

LUCAS MOURA is convinced Tottenham’s revamped squad can survive – and thrive in – the chockabloc­k campaign ahead of them.

Spurs’ Premier League trip to Burnley tomorrow will be the club’s 11th game in just six weeks this season.

Boss Jose Mourinho (below) made wholesale changes for last week’s Europa League tie with four new summer signings, including Gareth Bale, starting in the 3-0 win over Austrian outfit LASK Linz.

Moura, on target in that game, is impressed with the size and quality of the group now at Mourinho’s disposal. al.

The Spurs ace believes the new arrivals can make the difference in the North Londoners’ quest to finally land some silverware.

Sean Dyche’s Clarets, Moura said: “With many new players, who had never played together, we are happy with the result.

“We cannot compare now with the last few seasons. It’s different, with a new manager and a new squad.

“We need a big squad as we have so many games. The competitio­n between us is high but that’s good. We have the right mentality and can win a trophy.”

After conceding three in th the final 10 m minutes of their 3 3-3 showdown with West Ham seven days ago, Spurs needed to tighten up at the b back against LA LASK.
