Burrow’s best of the new breed

-

THE main thing the NFL was always worried about for the future was the quarterback position.

A few years ago, most teams had an ageing quarterback. The big question was how would the league replace stars like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and guys in that age range?

But now, we’ve got a group of young quarterbacks who are playing lights out.

The three rookies taken in the first round of the draft are all looking good and they all have different skill sets, that’s what makes it so interesting.

Joe Burrow, Justin Herbert and Tua Tagovailoa are all great players and we’ve seen Kyler Murray step up in his second season to become elite.

If I had to pick one to build my franchise around it would be Burrow (left) as I like what he brings overall.

Cincinnati have a tough game this weekend and it’s going to be interesting to see if he can execute at a high level against a defence as strong as the Steelers.

I was high on the Bucs until they got dominated by the Saints last week.

Sean Payton is an amazing playcaller, he always finds ways to move the ball and get Alvin Kamara involved.

The main thing with the Saints is their defence. They’ve always been good but given up big plays.

If they can keep playing like they did against the Bucs then they’re the most dangerous team in the NFC right now.

They lost a close one last week but the Arizona Cardinals look like a dark horse at the moment.

They’re improving their defensive backfield and getting healthier at cornerback and they have a chance to really make a run if they can keep getting better.
