DeAndre is one Hail of a catch

WE SAW DeAndre Hopkins make the play of the NFL season so far last week with his ‘Hail Murray’ catch on the final play.

It won the game for the Arizona Cardinals against the Buffalo Bills, and it just showed why he’s one of the best around.

What Hopkins (below) excels at is that contested catch. We saw that with him going up and making that catch with three players around him after a fantastic throw from quarterback Kyler Murray.

It doesn’t matter how well you think you’ve got him covered, he can use his body position and skills to get open.

He’s one of my top three wide receivers in the NFL at the moment. It’s hard to go against DK Metcalf because of the year he’s having, and Julio Jones is still right up there.

Individually, I don’t think the dominant guys are any better than when I played. There’s nobody like a Randy Moss now. But collectively the wide receivers in NFL now are better.

There’s great depth, they all have great footwork but the top guys I played against are just as good as the top guys now.

The Packers vs Colts is the game I’m watching this week, as we get to see the best against the best on one side of the match-up.

Aaron Rodgers is in MVP contention, he’s No.2 for me behind Patrick Mahomes.

The Packers’ offence is elite because of him, but they’re matched up against the No.1 total defence from the Colts.

Mahomes and the Chiefs can avenge their only loss this season against the Las Vegas Raiders.

For me, the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL and I don’t see the Raiders beating them twice.
