Worker Bees are buzzing with win

- By STEVEN BOX

THOMAS FRANK hailed his Brentford side for digging in as they extended their unbeaten streak to 11 games.

The Bees moved into the Championship top six with a big win at Forest, who had substitute Anthony Knockaert sent off late on.

Skipper Henrik Dalsgaard headed the visitors in front after 15 minutes but Frank’s men had to withstand sustained pressure in the second half.

Josh Dasilva and Ivan Toney struck on 83 and 88 minutes before Joe Worrall headed a consolation for Forest in injury time.

“I think it was a well deserved win,” said Frank. “The game became a bit too open and we didn’t defend well enough in spells, although they didn’t have too many clear-cut chances.

“You can’t dominate all games for 90 minutes in the Championship and Nottingham are a good side with a very good manager.”

Loanee Knockaert, a half-time replacement for Joe Lolley, was dismissed in the dying seconds when he picked up a second yellow card for diving in the penalty area.

Frank added: “I think it was a clear red card for Knockaert. I like him and normally he’s a top professional but he did dive.”

But Forest boss Chris Hughton said: “Anthony said he got a touch from the lad’s arm. It’s almost a stumble and I don’t think you can book him.”
