Reality star Lauren Goodger opens up about her relationship with Charles Drury and her OnlyFans business
When we catch up with Lauren Goodger over Zoom, the former TOWIE favourite can’t stop gushing about her new boyfriend, Katie Price’s ex Charles Drury – or Charlie as she calls him. It’s fair to say that Lozza, 34, has endured enough heartbreak, having had problematic relationships with Mark Wright, Jake McLean and jailbird Joey Morrisson. But this time she says she sees “a difference” with 23-year-old builder Charles.
The couple went Instagram official in October, but had been friendly for months before that. Lauren says their romance has been fasttracked because of the coronavirus lockdowns and Charles is now living with her at her Essex flat – and she’s looking forward to their first Christmas together.
Here, Lauren opens up about her happily ever after while setting the record straight on his dalliance with Ms Price…

Hi Lauren, can you tell us about getting together with Charles?
Charlie actually messaged me two years ago and I didn’t reply. I was like, “He’s good looking, but nah.” Then he messaged me again and I was chatting to him throughout lockdown on FaceTime. All my friends were like, “He’s nice”, and then one of my mates invited him over. We went out for dinner when everything was open. It was really nice. He came over a few times and I took it slow.
We became official because I thought, “There’s no point hiding it.” He was amazing – sending me flowers – and was so romantic. All my friends loved him. He’s met all my best friends, my godchildren and my family and I’ve met all his family. They FaceTime me all the
time. It’s the weirdest thing because when I was chatting to him I never thought it would be anything like this. Now he’s moved in officially and we’ve cleared his flat out. I feel like I’ve been with him for about five years! We’ve not left each other’s side. I’ve been ill with him and we’ve seen each other in every state possible. It’s been full-on so early, but I think that’s good because we’re so comfortable with each other.
Was it an instant attraction?
Yeah. I’m weird and boys make me cringe – I get really scared. But once I’m past that stage I’m the complete opposite. I loved the way he liked me so much. He was constantly ringing and messaging. I needed a nice guy.
Did this romance take you by surprise?
It did. I came out of a relationship two years ago and I was seeing my ex [Jake McLean] again. I didn’t think I was going to be in love again because I didn’t like anyone enough. It came to me and I didn’t look for this. It does come unexpectedly.
So how are you finding living together?
It’s been like that since day one, so it doesn’t feel any different. He’s changed his bank address and everything. In the future we’d like to get somewhere together.
Have you had much backlash about your new relationship?
No. Everyone is private messaging me or writing on my pictures, “I’m so happy to see you happy – you deserve it more than anyone.” I’m really grateful. I do believe I’m a good person and deserve to be in love. I feel very secure and settled.
Charles was linked to Katie Price. Did that ever come up?
The press talk about it a lot, but it wasn’t ever a relationship. There was one picture of them that was taken in Turkey in the back of a taxi with a group of people. It wasn’t a big deal.
Are you still friends with her?
I used to hang out with her a bit in 2014, but I haven’t spoken oken to her for years. She unfollowed wed me on Instagram years ago.
Why’s that?
I don’t know. She probably bably cleared her Instagram m out. We’ve never had a fall l out, but we don’t chat. We did at one point and I went nt to her house a few times. s. We went partying, but t that was years ago.
Is Charles willing to embrace the celebrity life?
Obviously, when you don’t know someone you’re always a bit wary, but t I spoke to him about my job and what I do and he respects it. He’s got to know me as a person and he wants to be with me. I’ve had conversations ations with him, saying, “There are re girls that are going to message you.” I know, because I’ve had ad it – I did a magazine cover with h an ex and the amount of girls rls trying it with him! Charlie’s aware ware of it.
He said, “Lauren, stop panicking – I’m not going to cheat on you.”
You’ve been through a lot with exes. Does that make you wary?
I don’t ever trust anyone 100%. He’s not from this area, he was born in Surrey and lived in Nottingham. He’s different. I think the guys round here are worse for fame and birds. He talks about “we” – “when we go on holiday” or “when we go out”. We don’t do anything separately. His intention is always “we”. With relationships in the past, it was like, “I want to go to Marbella with the boys, I want to go to LA with the boys.” But we want to do it together.
Do you think you’ve found your happy ending?
I hope so. I am happy and this has come to me very randomly. It’s a proper relationship – we’re really committed and I know that he loves me. Who knows what’s round the corner or what could happen?
Is this the best relationship you’ve been in?
They’re They’ all different. Timing is a m massive factor and I’m a dif different person now to whe when I was 16, at school and in childhood love. It’s a completely different relationship. He’s like my best friend.

It’s been tough for everybody. It was hard
