FILMING for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK was thrown into chaos when a contestant quit, Hot TV can reveal.

The wannabe had a meltdown after being told they had flopped in the challenges and were now facing elimination.

In dramatic scenes, they refused to do the weekly lip sync battle for survival and even told show boss RuPaul: “F*** off.”

It was the show’s biggest drama ever. An insider told us: “During filming for one episode, RuPaul announced which contestants were at risk of going home.

“One of them did not take it well at all. They completely lost it. They swore at RuPaul and said they weren’t going to do the lip sync. Then they stormed off. No-one could believe what they were seeing. It was incredibly disrespectful.”

Bosses are still deciding whether the shocking moment can be shown.

The contestant later refused to return for a reunion.

Our insider added: “Things ended very badly with this contestant. It is all very bitter indeed. It’s a shame.”

It might be a shame for them, but it sounds like it would make cracking telly for us.

Producers are hoping that the new series will be a national talking point.

They pulled out all the stops to get the show made under the strict coronavirus restrictions. This series will have more contestants and extra episodes to make it even bigger than the first run.

A source said: “Getting this series in the bag was a big challenge. There were so many obstacles. But everyone was determined to get it done.

“Now it is all filmed, there is a lot of excitement. There is so much drama, so it is bound to get people talking.”

RuPaul will be joined by Michelle Visage, Alan Carr and Graham Norton once again.

Guest judges will include Liz Hurley, Dawn French, Sheridan Smith and Maya Jama.

The series will stream on BBC Three from Thursday.

Sarah got her diabetes diagnosis when she went to see her GP for a health check in August 2019.

She said: “It was shocking, but it was scary when they told me I might need surgery.

“It was worrying and I felt like I could have a heart attack at any minute and not be there for my children.”

On getting the warning, Sarah knew it was time to make massive changes in her life.

She had always been overweight and was bullied as a child.

Sarah said: “I was called a ‘fat pig’ and ‘fat cow’, it was horrible. “But now I feel amazing.” Sarah made huge changes to her diet – ditching treats and large chocolate bars and ending her habit of munching on the children’s leftovers.

She swapped sandwiches and snacking on bread for more balanced alternatives and started doing daily exercise at home in St Austell, Cornwall. Sarah’s diabetes has now been reversed and she feels “happy and healthy”. But she said the best thing has been seeing her kids’ reaction. Sarah added: “My son keeps giving me a hug and saying, ‘I can get my arms around you now mummy’. I’m glowing now.”
