Rail idiots risk lives for vid hits
TIKTOK twits who parked a car on a live railway line for a video have been blasted by police.
Footage on the app shows a tripod and a black Volkswagon across the tracks by a level crossing.
The scene in Bromley Cross, near Bolton, Lancs, was captioned: “Would you take the risk to get the shot no-one else would?”
Rail staff condemned the 14-second clip as “sheer stupidity”.
Phil James, of Network Rail North West, said: “The danger this person has put themselves and passengers in is sheer stupidity at a staggering level.
“Lives could so easily have been lost.”
Inspector Becky Warren, of British Transport Police, said: “No picture or video is worth risking your life for. There is simply no excuse for not following safety procedures.”
