‘Square’ star cops a role in The Bay

FORMER EastEnders star Thomas Law has promised his telly comeback will be top notch.

The actor, who played Peter Beale on the BBC soap, has joined the cast of popular crime drama The Bay.

Fans will see him in the role of troubled Detective Constable Eddie Martin.

Thomas told Viewties magazine: “There is some quality acting and an even better storyline.

“I kept saying to my family after filming days how amazing the acting was on set.

“Everyone was so on the ball and so sharp.”

In a heartbreaking storyline viewers will see how cop Eddie struggles to cope with the pressures of the job.

Thomas said: “My character required a fair bit of emotional range.”

He went on: “In certain situations I feel the audience will see a lot of themselves in him.”

Other stars joining the cast for the new series include Sharon Small, James Cosmo and Stephen Tompkinson.

The Bay will be back on Tuesday at 9pm
